Livre "Hommage photographique" - François Benveniste

LE PROJET
François Benveniste se définissait comme “photographe amateur forcené”. Décédé en 2017, sa famille lui rend hommage avec ce livre.
Sa femme et ses enfants ont sélectionné des photos qui illustrent la diversité de son travail, sans oublier celles qu’il préférait lui-même (comme des extraits de la série "intemporelles").

Fruit d’un projet familial, il a été auto-édité avec le désir de partager, pour la première fois, une sélection de ses images dans un objet éditorial de qualité.

Sa particularité : à côté des photographies, on retrouve des citations tirées d’interviews et de vidéos enregistrées par François lui-même. Elles traduisent avec justesse l’esprit et le caractère que nous aimions tant chez lui, et offrent au lecteur une rencontre plus intime avec l’homme derrière l’objectif.

Vous y retrouverez des portraits, des nus, des nus en paysages, des "bondages" et autres types de compositions. Avec 27 modèles dont Liloo, Trixie, Ziggy...

L’ouvrage a été conçu et mis en page par le graphiste et directeur artistique Jérôme Bachelier, et sera imprimé chez un professionnel de l’édition.

Ce projet est non lucratif : les éventuels bénéfices de la vente seront reversés à la Fondation ARC pour la recherche sur le cancer.

Première publication majeure consacrée à son travail. Tirage limité, jamais réimprimé.

THE PROJECT
François Benveniste defined himself as a "die-hard amateur photographer." Having passed away in 2017, his family is paying tribute to him with this book.
His wife and children have selected photos that illustrate the diversity of his work, without forgetting the ones he preferred himself (like excerpts from the series "timeless").

The result of a family project, it has been self-published with the desire to share, for the first time, a selection of his images in a qualitative editorial object.

Its particularity: alongside the photographs, there are quotes taken from interviews and videos recorded by François himself. They accurately convey the spirit and character that we loved so much in him, and offer the reader a more intimate encounter with the man behind the lens.

You'll find portraits, nudes, nude landscapes, bondage, and other types of compositions. Featuring 27 models, including Liloo, Trixie, Ziggy, and more...

The book was designed and laid out by graphic designer and artistic director Jérôme Bachelier, and will be printed by a publishing professional.

This project is non-profit: any possible profits from the sale will be donated to the ARC Foundation for cancer research.
